Packing organizers earn their place by making a suitcase searchable. Instead of unpacking three layers to reach one shirt, you lift out the cube you need.
Packing cubes work best when you sort by category rather than by day — tops in one, layers in another. A set of mixed sizes is more useful than uniform ones, since the small cubes fit into gaps around the large ones. Toiletry bags and dopp kits matter most for what they protect: a water-resistant lining and a hanging hook mean you can use a hotel bathroom with no counter space and not worry about a leaking bottle reaching your clothes. Shoe bags are the least glamorous and among the most useful — they keep soles away from clothing.
Everything here is sized for carry-on and checked luggage alike, and packs flat when not in use.
